Super Buttons are used when building a pizza or other items on the same screen. An entire pizza including crust, toppings, instructions, additional items, etc. can be built using one screen.
In the main screen, the button's caption is established and the combination product code is assigned. The product code should charge for the amount of the whole combination together. Additional modification can be made to the button to allow for added/changed combinations.
Any Super Button can be configured to be inactivated according to a schedule. Set the Enabled, Days, and Times that the button should be active. By default, it is always active. These settings are independent of Time Sensitive Pricing.
Each item offered in the combination is individually configured. Tip: where there are duplicate items, build the first item and then use the 'Copy Page' button to copy from one button to another.
Type in the Item Caption for the first item to be setup in the combination.
Sizes and Products - All the sizes allowed on this combination for this item are entered with their product codes. The label on the tab on the left side of this screen changes to the Item Caption once it is typed in. A combination can have up to 10 items included with the combination. If the product code does not exist, use the 'Add/Edit Product' button.
Allow Item to be Upsized - If this item can be 'upsized' then enter every size that applies to the item and check the box to the left of the Sizes and Products list.
Charge Most Expensive Portion - If this item is split there are two ways to charge for each half of the item (if changing the item changes price)
Edit Button Groups - Button groups are groups in the Button Map (menu) that are grouped together and react to each other. The group names default to Group 1, Group 2, etc. but can be changed to more descriptive names. Click the word under the Name column and retype the name of the group. The following options are allowed when relating buttons to each other:
Select Only One Button - All the buttons associated with this group will react together - only one of them can be pressed at a time. If one is pressed it will cause another to be released. This is commonly called a 'radio button'. For example, if there are three crust options: Thin, Thick, Low Carb - these would be set to a group so that only one can be chosen at a time.
Allow No Selection - With Select Only One Button, if it is acceptable to have no choice selected, then check this option. Pressing different buttons will result in 'radio button' action, but pressing the same button twice will toggle between that button being pressed and released.
Whole Limit - This is the number of buttons that can be pressed in this group. If only 2 items are allowed, the first two pressed will be activated and any others pressed will not be allowed. It is called 'Whole Limit' because this only applies to whole items as opposed to split items.
Free On or Before - This is a count of the number of items that are free if additional items can be charged. For example, if 2 items are allowed in the price but more items can be selected and charged, then set this limit at 2. Each item after 2 that is chosen will be charged.
Free On or After - This is a count of the number of items that are free after the threshold has been reached. For example, if all toppings after 6 are charged at the 6 topping price, this threshold is set to 6. Up to 6 items will be charged when ordering from this group but the 7 th item, 8 th item, etc. will be free.
Button Map - The button map is considered the 'menu' part of Combination Buttons. The button map has cells in grid format with the ability to adjust the grid to 10 X 10 cells. The total number of cells is calculated next to the Row and Column adjustment fields.
The Button map has two modes: Edit Buttons mode and Arrange Buttons mode. In Edit Buttons mode, click a cell to edit the contents of the cell. In Arrange Buttons mode, the location of an existing cell can be moved to suit. Once the cells have been setup (see below) the Ticket Sort Order and screen size (resolution) can be established.
Preview - Use the Preview button to periodically review the setup of the button map as it will look in Order Entry.
Ticket Sort Order - This window allows the user to set how the items on will be put on the ticket once this item has been configured.
Click and drag the items in this list into the order desired.
Map Button Entry - When an empty Map Button is clicked, the Map Button Entry window appears.
The Map Button's caption and associated group are filled in at the top of the window.
Allow Partial Portions check box - This sets a property that allows this item to be included with the whole, half, or quarter setting when ordering a pizza. Use this when an item can be put on a half or a quarter of a pizza.
Allow Multiple Portions check box - This allows this item to be doubled if extra amounts of the item are desired.
Normally Included - The item is normally part of the product associated with it. This designation automatically presses the button. Pressing the button removes this item from the order and adds a 'No' to the item.
Products for Each Size - When this Map Button is pressed during an order, the product is ordered according to the size indicated. At any time while the Super Button is open, the size of the item can be changed. When that occurs, the product associated with the new size is taken from this list for each Map Button item. NOTE: if a particular size of this item is not offered, simply leave that product code blank and Order Entry will inactivate this button for that size.
Button Presets Tab - When setting up an item, one of the options is to make it a preset button. When a preset button is pressed, the buttons associated under the 'Button Preset' tab are pressed.
For example, if a 'Supreme' button is created with the Original crust, red sauce, pepperoni, diced bacon, sausage, onion, and black olives buttons set on the Button Preset tab, when that 'Supreme' button is pressed, all the listed toppings are automatically pressed for the order.
