The Product Category List is set up under the Tools menu in the Point of Success Office Manager software. It is located under the heading 'Company Information.'
Product Categories are used to organize and group the food menu items and products sold. For example, categories such as Entrees, Appetizers, Beverages, Desserts, Ingredients, etc. could be established. When setting up products in the Products list, use these category designations to classify each product into its organized group.
The 'QuickBooks Account' field is provided for each category to designate how the category will be displayed when the data is imported into QuickBooks. The QuickBooks account should match up with the category so each category will be properly tracked in QuickBooks.
