The Postal Code List or Zip Code List is provided ensure speed and accuracy when entering the city and state/province information. Each postal code is unique and has a corresponding city and state/province assigned to it. The Postal Code list can be set up ahead of time or it can be entered on the fly. If the entered postal code has been defined, the city and state/province will automatically display. If the entered postal code is not found, the user is prompted to enter the city and state/province. Once that is done, the new postal code is saved and ready for use. It will not have to be associated with a city and state/province again. For a country-specific list of states/provinces, choose the country from the drop-down list at the top of this window.
To change a postal code, edit the postal code and change the assigned city and state/province. Once it is changed, it will be saved in the system for later use. However, changing postal codes will not effect previous orders. The city, state/province, and postal code information on historical orders will remain in tact regardless of the current city and state/province assigned to the postal code.
