About Discount (Order Entry)

About Discount

About Discount is accessed after pressing the Discount button during order entry. The About button is on the Add Discount screen. In this window, information about each discount is explained. The code and description of the discount are displayed as well as the start date, end date, start time, end time, product type, and discount amount. There is a Product List that shows which products are excluded from the discount.

If there are any other instructions about this discount, a comment field is provided to explain those instructions. For example, for employee discount, there may be instructions like, "Employee discount only available to employee and immediate family only."

On the right of the window, check boxes indicate on which days of the week this discount is in effect. These discounts are added to orders using the Apply Discount window (accessed after pressing the Discount button.
